Now, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has shed some further light on the Switch's launch lineup and more. He told GameSpot sister site that launch day, March 3, is "not the be-all and the end-all." Aiming to address problems with the Wii U, Fils-Aime said Nintendo plans to deliver additional compelling games on a regular basis to keep current owners happy and draw in new ones.
"Launch day is not the be-all and the end-all," Fils-Aime said. "It really is the steady pacing of content that continually reinforces for the people who bought into the platform why they made a smart choice, as well as what compels people who might be sitting on the sidelines to jump in."
"We feel we have this great ongoing march of content to motivate you to jump into the platform."
Fils-Aime acknowledged, as he's done in the past, that the Wii U struggled in part because of a lack of quality games that came out on a regular basis.
